Return and Shipping Policy
Shipping Charges; Taxes
Separate charges for shipping and handling will be set forth on MacTech Solutions’ invoice(s) and are in addition to product cost.
MacTech Solutions is required by law to charge applicable taxes. In certain instances, upon the presentation of a valid and correct tax exemption certificate applicable to the product to be shipped, MacTech Solutions will waive the collection of applicable sales tax, if such waiver complies with applicable law. You remain responsible for the prompt and proper payment of all taxes applicable to the products shipped to you or your designee.
Items will be processed and shipped according the the availability shown on each product in our store. If due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to process and ship your order in the time shown, you will be notified and given options based on availability information provided to us by our suppliers. This information is provided as a courtesy by our suppliers and is estimated.
Title; Risk of Loss
Title to products shipped passes from MacTech Solutions to you on the date of shipment from us or our supplier. Insured shipping may be available. Please inquire.
To the extent applicable, each product sold on this site is packaged with applicable manufacturer’s warranty and service information detailing specific terms and conditions. We encourage you to complete the product registration information and return any registration cards to the manufacturer so that they can contact you if necessary in the future. Additional or extended warranties may be available. Please inquire.
Items purchased via this site may be returned to us in their original packaging only in new and unused condition, with all packing materials (including owners manuals, as applicable). Returns must be made within ten (10) days of the date of purchase. For the purposes of items purchased via this site, the date of purchase is the date of our shipment of the item to you. Items returned to us are subject to a restocking fee of fifteen percent (15%). Software is not returnable. Clearance items are not returnable. Labor costs are not refundable. Our customer service staff does not have the authority to change or modify our return policies.
Apple branded products
If you discover what you believe is a product defect for any Apple branded product, you are encouraged to contact us to see if we can provide some quick advice on how to proceed. If we cannot provide a quick resolution (5 minutes or less), then we will request that you either a) contact Apple Technical Support at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) or b) arrange for service at your location or our office. If your Apple branded computer system is covered under the initial one-year hardware warranty, or under an AppleCare Protection Plan and the trouble is found to be a software-related issue, then standard service rates apply. However, if the trouble is found to be hardware-related, then we will repair it under warranty, or send the product to Apple for repair. If the product is a one that Apple considers a customer mail-in, the customer can obtain service through Apple’s self-service website. If the customer chooses, they have the option of having MacTech Solutions process the repair on their behalf. In this case, there may be a service charge at the standard service rate.
Apple-branded Dead On Arrival (DOA) Product
An Apple-branded hardware product is considered DOA if it shows symptoms of a hardware failure preventing basic operability on its first use out of the box. If you determine that your product may be DOA, please contact MacTech Solutions or Apple technical support at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) as soon as you discover the condition, but no later than 7 days after the invoice date. Apple technical support will determine if the product is DOA. At this point, customer must contact MacTech Solutions to determine the next step.
MacTech Solutions will, at its sole option, do one of the following:
- Replace the product with a new one. A product ordered/bought from us will be replaced by MacTech Solutions
- MacTech Solutions will repair the product under the original manufacturer’s warranty or facilitate the repair to Apple (in the case of portable products).
Non-Apple branded products
Such a defect, if any, is covered under the terms of your product’s warranty. Please refer to the warranty information and other support documentation that came with your product. The customer may choose to have MacTech Solutions work directly with the manufacturer on the customer’s behalf. If this option is chosen, then standard service rates apply.
